Susan W. Tolbert was born in upstate New York and graduated from Syracuse
University in 1979. She attended law school at the Cumberland School of Law at Samford
University in Birmingham, Alabama, graduating in 1986 and becoming a member of the Florida
Bar that same year. In 1989, she was admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle
District of Florida.
Since 1986, Susan has practiced in Central and East Central Florida, limiting her practice
to specialize in personal injury/wrongful death claims and insurance contract disputes. She is
also a Certified Circuit Mediator, Florida Supreme Court.
